All About JEE 2015

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering courses. It includes two sub-categories namely JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Exam date for both has been announced wherein JEE Main will be held on 04 April 2015 (Offline) & 10-11 April 2015 (Online). Candidates can get admission to their dream engineering colleges such as, NITs and CFTIs through JEE Main Exam. Students need to fill JEE Main 2015 Application form with authentic information in order to appear in the exam.

CBSE will issue JEE Main 2015 Admit Card on March 1st, 2015. Candidates can fill their academic details such as School Board Roll Numbers at that time. Candidates who are expecting their class XII or equivalent qualifying exam result after 25 June should not apply, as the allotment of All India Ranking only those candidates will be considered who will confirm their class XII scores on or before 25 June 2015.

 

Important Dates

JEE Main 2015 will be conducted online and offline. Offline exam will be held on 4 April 2015 and online exam will be held on 10 or 11 April 2015. Aspirants should decide exam date carefully because once decided alteration in it will not be entertained.

 

Eligibility Criteria

It is required to fulfill the entire eligibility criteria in order to appear for JEE Main 2015. Candidates must ensure that they are eligible before applying. Application fee does not gets reimbursed, irrespective of candidate will write the exam or not.

The criteria are as below:

Age Limit: Candidate should be born on or after 1 October 1990. Relaxation on upper age limit is upto 5 for SC/ST and PwD candidates.

Education Qualification: Qualifying exam should have been passed either in 2013 or 2014. Applicant must have 5 subjects in qualifying exam out of which Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are mandatory subjects.

Candidates appearing for class 12th examination may also apply for JEE Main 2015. Only if they are sure that their result will be issued before 25 June 2015.

Each candidate can give JEE Main 3 times only.
