Know all about RRB exam

RRB is conducted to recruit and make available the right kind of manpower and talent at the right time to the different units of the Railways as per their requirements. This is an All India Entrance Exam. Selection on various posts is based on the Written Test and Interview.

The recruitment of 6100 Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant, Senior Section Engineer, Chief Depot Material Superintendent Vacancies has been issued by Government of India, Ministry of Railway and Railway Recruitment board.

Eligibilty-

Age limit:

Senior Section Engineer, Chief Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical Metallurgical Assistant: 20-35 years

Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent: 18-33 years

(Age relaxation will be applicable as per rules.)

Educational Qualification:

Depending on each post, there are different educational eligibility criteria. Candidates may go through the RRB’s website for the same.

•    Paragraph Rearrangement

There will be 120 questions for this test. The time allotted for this test will be 90 minutes.

Selection Process:  The Selection process basically consists of the following:

-Preliminary Exam
-Mains Exam
-Medical Exam
-Interview
-Merit

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may apply online through the website www.rrbald.gov.in

Examination Fee: Candidates should pay Rs.100/- for UR/ OBC Male candidates through online using Net Banking or debit/ credit card (service charges apply for all other banks, other than SBI, which will be borne by the candidates) or through Challan form in SBI Branch, or Computerized Post Office Pay-in-Slip in SBI Branch (service charges apply). SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen/ Persons with Disability (PWD)/ Women/ Minorities and EBC candidates are exempted from fee.

RRB Exam Preparation

The aspirants should be ready with a proper study plan well before the commencement of this entrance test and should be careful enough to cover up the entire core areas included in the test. They should practice similar questions by giving importance to time management. They are advised to refer standard guide books like Guide to RRB Electrical Engg.(Senior Section Officer) 2014’ by GK Publication to crack the exam with much ease.
